Position Summary:
The Performance Excellence & Learning Leader is the site resource and coach for implementing PE & Learning practices across the operation. The PE & Learning Leader is responsible to work with in partnership with the site leadership team to understand current state, envision future state and create a plan move the organization forward.
The role may lead & facilitate some training sessions, as well as to grow other team members to grow in their ability to train and lead sessions themselves. The PE & Learning Leader is the point of contact for ADM’s central PE & Learning teams and to implement Training & Continuous Improvement standards and best practices from ADM and industry.
The PE & Learning Leader supports the site’s SMS processes, including various Review & Respond sessions and Deployment plans. The PE & Learning Leader owns the creation and execution of the site PE and Training & Development Deployment plan to support the Site’s X-Matrix / Big Rocks.

Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a premier training program to provide a highly effective, robust, motivated, and safe workforce passionate about continuous improvement by:
- Provide coaching on problem solving using data and analytics
- Assist departments with root cause analysis, systematic problem solving and the implementation of sustainable countermeasures
- Perform education for location teams
- Train & influence teams to utilize tools and methodologies aligned to PE
- In the course of work, identify gaps and provide solutions.
- Responsible for the Site’s new hire training program.
- Establish relationships and collaborate with OJT (on the job training) mentors, subject matter experts, procedure reviewers, training reviewers, engineers, managers/supervisors, and EHS staff to support the site’s training activities.
- Maintain, update and audit all training documents and procedures as required by changes, MOCs, and periodic reviews.
- Enhance skills to include adult learning methodologies and deliver one on one coaching and instruction, in the field training, casual small group training, and formal stand up instruction.
- Collaborate with the Performance Excellence Team to develop, implement, document, and measure the efficiency of training.
- Mentor and develop site team to establish an inspiring & high performance culture.
- Other management support functions as determined by Complex Manager to assist in maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
- Manufacturing background either as a plant supervisor or extensive experience
- Systematic problem solving skills related to manufacturing performance.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate to team members of all levels, in both written and verbal format.
- A strong foundation and demonstrated use of Performance Excellence.
- Demonstrated belief in growth mindset and the individual’s ability to learn and develop with appropriate training, desire & effort.
- The ability to lead and motivate others.
- The ability to assess training needs, translate job requirements into training requirements, and organize instructional material both during development and in presentations.
- Proficiency in active listening, clear communication, training, coaching, and developing.
- Networking skills to help get all others to support Performance Excellence and training programs, including the ability to encourage and improve the level of engagement within their team.
- Presentation skills suitable to all types of training (one-on-one coaching, in-the-field training, casual small group training, and formal stand-up instruction). A self-driven work ethic that is a positive role model for trainees.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
