Job Summary:
The Retirement Plans Consultant position will work behind the scenes to support the NA, Manager Financial Securities to perform and assist with annual testing, asset valuations, contribution calculations, internal and external audits and prepare/assist with required filings for pension and 401k plans in NA. This role collaborates with internal and external business partners, consultants, and colleagues.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responds to retirement inquiries from leaders, colleagues and vendors on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
- Assists with nondiscrimination and other testing and providing strategic alternatives for correction of failures and presents options to improve future nondiscrimination test results.
- Effectively communicates the necessary regulatory information and testing requirements in a way that can be easily understood by individuals who are not in the business.
- Reviews, interprets, and maintains the legal plan documents to ensure plan compliance with current IRS/DOL regulations.
- Remains current with the laws and regulations for retirement plan administration.
- Works with internal and external business partners, and vendors to ensure accurate and timely response to all outstanding requests and/or concerns.
- Understand plan documents to consult with internal and external business partners on plan compliance, IRS regulations, and plan enhancements.
- Conducts periodic audits to ensure compliance with laws, policies, and procedures. Assist with providing documentation for legal requests.
- Assist with communication and assuring that most up to date information in available on all internal and external platforms.
- Works on special projects as requested, such as divestitures, acquisitions, and joint ventures.
- Build trust within the team by consistently demonstrating honesty, reliability, and accountability.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
