- School-Based Early Support programs are prevention programs that partner with elementary and middle schools in the community to offer families a menu of flexible service options to connect families to community resources through case management, families’ concrete needs, support parents/caregivers, and avoid unnecessary investigations. School Based Early Support programs provides an option for school staff and providers to help families in need of concrete support, psychoeducation, social connections, and/or resource navigation, and to prevent unnecessary calls to the SCR.

Depending on the model, these programs offer therapeutic in-home services to families that may include family therapy focusing on improving parenting and family interactions; research-supported trauma treatments for children, youth, and adults; trauma-informed psychotherapy and casework strategies; and treatment to support families facing substance use, mental health concerns, and past traumatic events.

Each framework provides a structured approach, concrete tools, and tangible benchmarks to govern case practice - the values, principles, relationships, approaches and techniques the case planner uses to enable children and families to achieve the goals of safety, stability, permanency, and well-being.
- Family Treatment and Rehabilitation Programs (FT/R) are prevention programs that serves families where mental health and/or substance misuse are a primary concern and placing children at risk of foster care placement. The FT/R model utilizes a team approach to assess, diagnose, and treat each family member’s needs by providing clinical interventions in the home and/or the provider’s office. This clinical diagnostic team (CDT) is composed of a licensed mental health professional, Credentialed Alcoholism Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) or Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor-Trainee (CASAC-T), supervisors, and case planners, who work collaboratively to support families towards long-term stabilization.
