What you’ll do for adMind 


Data Collection & Tag Management: 

This role requires utilizing JS/HTML/CSS and tag management systems to deploy tracking pixels, scripts, and custom web analytics configurations. 

  • Write code to scrape key data from web pages. Use JS/HTML/CSS and tag management systems. 
  • You are doing this well if you prefer progress over perfection and have to rely on other engineering teams less than 25% of the time. 
  • When scraping markup isn’t sufficient, coordinate with codebase engineers to implement tracking (includes designing a data layer) and then route the tracking with Google Tag Manager (or other tracking system). 
  • You are doing this will if interfacing with client engineers is efficient and you are perceived as a solution oriented thought leader. 
  • Using JavaScript in Google Tag Manager to format metadata where necessary. 
  • You are doing this well if your JavaScript implementations correctly format metadata and enhance the accuracy of data collection with less than 2 hours of support per month from senior developer resource time. 
  • Daily use of Google Tag Manager to collect and configure data going to various marketing systems. 
  • You are doing this well if GTM is configured efficiently, with tags firing accurately, and no delays or issues in data flow. 

Client/adMind Consultant Collaboration/Mentorship: 

This role involves direct communication with clients and adMind consultants to present and design solutions to data collection challenges. 

  • Communicating technical information to clients, addressing their questions and providing guidance on web analytics collection technologies. 
  • You are doing this well if clients feel confident in the solutions provided, with all queries answered clearly and in a timely manner. 
  • Collaborating with client engineers, helping to clarify requirements and success metrics. 
    • Mentor adMind Consultants. You will be the technical expert. You must be a creative problem solver and a good communicator. 
      • Attending & participating in daily internal standups to communicate any of the following: 
      • Roadblocks for current work. 
      • Potential changes to expected deliverables (timeliness or deliverable quality). 
      • Status of key work items. 
      • Anything that is behind schedule. 
        • Attending & participating in sprint planning in order to: 
        • Determine which resources are responsible for each deliverable. 
        • Evaluate the size and resource load for each deliverable. 
        • Support the consultant and consultant assistant in appropriate utilization of team resources. 

          Continuous Learning & Subject Matter Expertise: 

          This role requires ongoing learning and staying up to date with the latest in digital marketing and analytics technology. 

          • Being a subject matter expert in digital marketing technology. 
            • Rapidly learning new systems when needed to support the various marketing technology stacks of our clients. 

              Process Optimization: 

              • adMind has a number internal tools and codebases. Eventually you will be expected to own and maintain these. These include: 
              • Some JS libraries used in data collection 
              • A light-weight “client portal” for communicating client requirements 
                • adMind has a sister product company, Molly Data. Process optimizations sometimes lead to product features at Molly. You may even spend extra time working with the Molly Data product team on Molly features. 

                   

                  Requirements 

                   

                  Education/Experience 

                  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, economics, or mathematics. 
                  • Also, will consider certification from immersive development trade school or, 
                  • Equivalent work experience,  
                  • 2-3 years of daily work in JavaScript, HTML, & CSS.\ 
                  • You’ll stand out with meaningful experience in tag management systems (e.g., Google Tag Manager). 

                  Technical Skills 

                  • Proficiency in VanillaJS/HTML/CSS for event tracking (as opposed to web design) 
                  • Familiarity with use of tag management systems 
                  • Familiarity with tag deployment, pixel tracking, and metadata scraping. 
                  • Basic data analysis skills for QA and troubleshooting purposes. 
                  • Basic understanding of digital marketing activities (platform, tactics, etc.)
