Position Overview:
The Cyber Academy seeks a dedicated and dynamic team member to assist in developing and growing the Elevate Program—a flexible, hybrid learning pathway designed to support high school students facing credit deficiencies, personal challenges, or non-traditional circumstances. This role is pivotal in guiding students toward academic recovery, college and career readiness, and successful graduation. This position requires close collaboration with other program directors to ensure cohesive support across all Cyber Academy initiatives.
The ideal candidate for this position is passionate about supporting at-risk students and deeply committed to promoting educational equity. They are adaptable and innovative, demonstrating a strong ability to address the diverse academic and personal needs of students within a flexible learning environment. As a collaborative team player, the candidate should possess a student-centered mindset and work well alongside other program directors and school staff. Additionally, they should be proficient in analyzing student performance data to inform and refine instructional strategies that drive student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Elevate Program, ensuring alignment with the Cyber Academy's mission and goals. Continuously assess and enhance program components to better serve the student population and adapt to evolving educational needs.
- Provide individualized content teaching, academic coaching, tutoring, and emotional support to students, fostering a growth mindset and personal accountability. Track student progress toward credit recovery and graduation, adjusting strategies as needed to promote success. Coordinate both virtual and in-person sessions, ensuring students attend a minimum of two on-site sessions per week for targeted support.
- Work in tandem with school counselors, administrators, and other program directors to identify student needs and develop comprehensive support plans. Assist students in planning for post-secondary education or career paths, providing resources and guidance to achieve their goals.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Education or higher, or a related field;
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in educational settings, instructional technology, knowledge in credit recovery and at risk youth.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, content field knowledge, proficiency in virtual learning platforms, and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Certifications: Valid Georgia teaching or certification preferred.
Work Calendar:
This position will work 190-215 days.
