The Texarkana Arkansas School District is seeking applicants for Executive Director of School Leadership.
Primary Purpose:
Provide oversight and leadership for campus administrators and key educational programs, ensuring instructional excellence, equitable access, and student achievement.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification: Arkansas Administrator Certification
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Strong instructional leadership and school management experience
Knowledge of special education laws and enrollment processes
Experience in school choice, magnet programs, and alternative education
Ability to mentor and develop school principals
Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years in campus leadership roles (principal, director, or district-level leadership)
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide direct supervision and support to all campus principals.
- Oversee the district’s special education program, ensuring compliance and effectiveness.
- Manage enrollment and oversee the district’s magnet school programs.
- Supervise the district’s pre-kindergarten (Pre-K) programs.
- Provide oversight for alternative learning environments and intervention programs.
- Collaborate with curriculum leaders to align instructional initiatives with school leadership priorities.
- Facilitate leadership development and professional learning for principals.
- Analyze campus performance data to drive school improvement efforts.
- Support schools in fostering positive climate, discipline practices, and student engagement.
- Ensure alignment of leadership practices with district goals and strategic priorities.
