Receptionist/Administrative Assistant
School Administration Building
M-F from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
37.5 hours/week 12-months/year
Qualifications:
- Successful experience in a customer service position
- Enjoy working with the public to help answer wide-ranging questions or concerns
- Technical skills include basic proficiency with Google Applications, Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn user-friendly software packages
- Ability to use tact and discretion in carrying out duties of a highly confidential nature
- Ability to accurately receive and transmit messages
- Ability to handle multiple activities effectively
- Organizational skills to support projects requiring the use of office equipment including copiers, and postage meters
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may deem appropriate and acceptable.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming phone calls and process them accordingly
- Greet all visitors to the building in a welcoming manner
- Provide basic public information to callers and attempt to answer questions or concerns
- Provide basic support to staff with employee self-service systems
- Process and maintain work permits
- Receive and sort incoming mail, postage machine, and outgoing mail; and from time to time drop mail off at the US Post Office
- Filing
- Special Projects (all offices)
- Purchase Orders
- General questions for employment applications
- Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent’s Office.
Salary: In accordance with non-union contract
