What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Billing and Coding Specialist Manager position at Administration Service Corporation (ASC)?
Medical Billing and Coding Supervisor- responsible for providing exceptional customer service, support to patients and customers with a variety of medical specialties. Position includes but not limited to data entry of charges into billing system, processing insurance claims and patient statements, posting payments and answer all patient inquiries regarding accounts in addition to the review and management of the Billing Team, their charges and receipt posting for clerical and coding errors. Candidate must have the drive to resolve outstanding payer issues and denials to obtain payment resolutions from the carriers. Knowledge of submission and resubmission of medical claims (CMS 1500); Knowledge of government, commercial, and workers compensation policies and procedures, in addition to payer requirements, etc. Strong knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT codes and HCPCS coding if not CPC certified. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance rules and regulations. Must possess good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines. Responsible, accurate and punctual. Experience with medical billing software required. Required experience:
