This senior management position is responsible for overseeing the administrative functions of the Washington County Court of Common Pleas and the Magisterial District (MD) Courts. Key responsibilities include public relations, budgeting, procurement, human resources, case flow, facilities, and jury management. The individual in this role also provides administrative oversight for all court departments. Work is carried out with a high degree of independence under the general direction of the President Judge.

Job Duties
- Plans, directs, and oversees the daily activities of the Court Administrator's Office ensuring that all responsibilities are executed effectively; provides administrative direction for all court departments.
- Represents the Court effectively on various working committees within and outside the County.
- Serves as a liaison between the PJ and other members of the Court.
- Acts as a liaison between County Commissioners, row offices, elected officials, the local court, and the AOPC.
- Resolves administrative matters, complaints, and personnel issues for the MDJs.
- Oversees twenty-four separate budgets, ensuring that expenditures are appropriate and within budgetary limitations.
- Communicates with department heads and employees about operational processes and the progress of ongoing initiatives and projects.
- Assists department heads and advises the President Judge on human resource matters, including labor law and legal issues, recruitment, hiring, compensation, supervision, discipline, and termination. Acts as the primary contact for the County Human Resources Department.
- Assesses staffing levels, departmental structures, and job responsibilities of departments, and implements changes as necessary.
- Manages space, equipment, and facilities used by the Court.
- Coordinates the Court Security Committee and develops and updates the Continuity of Operations Plan.
- Acts as Court's Rule of Judicial Administration 509 compliance officer.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Judicial, Business, or Public Administration, or a closely related field; PLUS
- Three years of professional-level experience in court management or four years of varied office management work including professional-level experience in budgeting, procurement, and human resources management.
- An equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training may be considered.
