RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Develop and lead the district-wide digital learning strategy aligned with instructional goals.
- Collaborate with district and campus leadership to support technology-enhanced learning.
- Evaluate and update the district’s digital learning framework to reflect innovation and best practices.
- Guide and support the integration of technology into instructional design and delivery.
- Work with instructional coaches and curriculum teams to align digital tools with content standards.
- Support the development of blended and personalized learning environments.
- Design and deliver professional learning sessions on instructional technology tools and digital best practices.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to teachers on effective use of technology in classrooms.
- Facilitate on-demand training and create self-paced digital learning resources for staff.
- Monitor and assess the impact of digital tools on student learning using multiple data sources.
- Conduct needs assessments to inform ongoing training and support needs.
- Evaluate instructional software and platforms for instructional effectiveness.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging educational technologies and trends.
- Lead pilot programs for innovative instructional technology tools.
- Evaluate new applications and recommend implementation strategies.
- Serve as a bridge between academic and technical departments to ensure seamless tech integration.
- Support district and campus communication about digital initiatives.
- Engage stakeholders (students, families, teachers, community) in digital learning planning and feedback.
- Promote responsible digital citizenship and ensure compliance with FERPA, COPPA, CIPA, and other data privacy regulations.
- Support staff and student training on digital safety and ethical technology use.
- Provide just-in-time tech support and troubleshooting for teachers during instructional hours.
- Visit campuses regularly to observe technology use and offer in-person coaching or assistance.
- Respond to help desk tickets or inquiries related to instructional tech platforms.
- Monitor and support usage of instructional tech platforms.
- Ensure digital learning tools are updated and functioning properly for daily instruction.
- Maintain a visible presence in schools to model and reinforce effective digital teaching practices.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Valid Texas Teacher’s Certificate Preferred
- Minimum of three years teaching experience
- Experience working with diverse student populations, parents, and other stakeholders
OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into focus; judge distance (close and distant); reach with arms extended and use hands to manipulate the keyboard, smart board and other classroom technology.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds, including but not limited to books, paper, and instructional materials/supplies.
- This position requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, and/or the ability to be mobile.
- Ability to travel throughout the district and city as needed by means of personal/private or public transportation in compliance with the state's department of motor vehicle and/or public transportation laws.

Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
