Job Description
Warehouse Laborer
Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties:
- Loading and unloading materials onto or from trucks, pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand, forklift, hand truck, and/or electric pallet jack, as appropriate.
- Reading work order or following oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
- Loading materials into vehicles to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
- Conveying materials from storage sites to designated loading area.
- Counting and recording number of units of materials moved or handled, breakage and spoilage on appropriate sheets.
- Attaching identifying tags or labels to materials or marking information on cases and other containers.
- Stacking or assembling materials into bundles and wrapping bundles together.
- Performing housekeeping and grounds maintenance warehouse and sales center offices.
- Wearing Company provided uniform and safety equipment.
- Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time.

- Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift experience preferred.
- Communication Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic math functions.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move unaided up to 60 pounds and exert force of up to 100 pounds to lift or move objects with the aid of a manual lifting device.
