Job Description :
We are recruiting a chef de partie on behalf of our lovely client, a private boarding school in Richmond, catering for students and approximately 35 members of staff.
Due to the location of the site, the role is ideal for someone that drives or cycles.
Parking is available on site.
Annual Salary : £28..
Working Hours : 5 days out of 7.
46 weeks / year.
8h shifts between 6am and 7.30pm.
40h / week.
Responsibilities :
Preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes within your section, including pastry.
Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in creating menu items, recipes, and developing dishes.
Maintaining high standards of hygiene and health and safety.
Managing and training any Commis Chefs working with you.
Ensuring food quality and excellent standards are maintained for all dishes created.
Assisting with the baking and pastry preparation as required
Requirements :
Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role, ideally in contract catering or education.
Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, tools, and processes /
Knowledge of best cooking practices.
Creative and passionate about food.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Relevant culinary qualification is a plus.
