We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist with various clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment documentation.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, answering phones, and managing inventory of dental supplies.
Skills
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
- Proficient in Dental assisting techniques and procedures.
- Familiarity with Medical coding and Medical documentation practices.
- Knowledge of Medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
- Experience with Eaglesoft or Dentrix software for patient management.
- Understanding of General dentistry principles as well as specialized areas such as Prosthodontics.
- Ability to perform Medical imaging tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
