Responsibilities
- Perform sterilization of dental instruments and equipment following established protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of sterilization areas.
- Monitor sterilization equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any malfunctions.
- Assist in the preparation of instruments for various dental procedures, including endodontics and general dentistry.
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Document sterilization processes and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with dental assistants to support four-handed dentistry practices.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental procedures.
- Experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Proficient in dental assisting practices, including the use of Eaglesoft software.
- Understanding of aseptic techniques to prevent contamination.
- Knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical terminology associated with dentistry.
