Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Lewes, Delaware (Travel Assignment)
Job Description and Requirements
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36 hours
- Shift: 12 hours, rotating
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nuclear medicine technology, with experience in performing diagnostic imaging procedures using various techniques. They will be responsible for operating complex equipment, preparing patients for scans, and maintaining accurate records of patient data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing nuclear medicine scans, including positron emission tomography (PET) and single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) scans
- Preparing patients for scans, including administering radioactive isotopes and positioning patients correctly
- Operating complex equipment, including scanners and injectors
- Maintaining accurate records of patient data, including scan results and patient information
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field
- Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or Registered Technologist, Nuclear Medicine (RT(NM))
- 1-2 years of experience in nuclear medicine technology, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting
- Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
