Infrastructure Engineer

At Adonis, we offer multiple solutions to assist medical providers in navigating the complexities of healthcare billing and receipt of payment for service. Billing and insurance related activities represent nearly $1 in every $7 collected by medical providers - and the high costs of collecting payments, as well as and other costs that stem from the administrative challenges within the space, unfortunately get passed down to the consumer. This is why healthcare costs continue to rise, with no end to that in sight. We’re set on helping to mitigate these challenges.While we are building a medical billing engine that automates billing workflows and improves reimbursement rates for medical providers, we at Adonis feel that there is always an aspect of healthcare billing that requires a human touch.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC, ensuring it meets product needs while instilling best practices and architectural patterns that promote scalability, security, and maintainability.
• As an active developer, own and improve our CI/CD pipelines, including testing frameworks, local development environments, multi-staging instances, and ephemeral environments for fast iteration.
• Partner with internal teams to build and maintain tooling and platforms that enhance productivity and operational excellence across the engineering organization.
• Provide support and guidance to product teams across all lines, ensuring smooth feature delivery.
• Improve, manage, and teach standards for code maintainability and performance in code submitted and reviewed
• Drive the implementation and promotion of observability best practices, ensuring comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and tracing using Datadog across all services.
• Stay current with emerging tools and technologies and recommend opportunities to improve operational efficiency and platform capabilities.

Must Have Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in software engineering
• 1 years of DevOps or relevant experience managing and automating cloud infrastructure deployment, especially on AWS.
• Strong experience with and interest in:
•     AWS (Fargate, Lambda, Step Functions...)
•     Infrastructure as Code (i.e. Terraform, Terraform CDK, AWS CDK)
•     Python 3
•     Postgres DB (AWS RDS)
•     NoSQL (DynamoDB)
•     Containerized Workflows (Docker, Podman, etc)
•     Serverless Workflows(Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions, message queues)
•     Monitoring, Alerting, Tracing w/ Datadog
•     GitHub
•     CI/CD using GitHub Actions

Nice to Have Qualifications:

• React w/ Typescript
• Familiarity with HIPAA, SOC2 Compliance processes
• Automated testing experience: E2E, Integration, and Unit
• Temporal.io and/or other workflow orchestration tools like Airflow
• Experience building or interacting with GraphQL APIs

The base salary range for this position is $170,000 - $210,000 yr. However, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we also offer competitive equity and benefits packages.
