What are the responsibilities and job description for the Navigator position at Adopt-A-Family Of The Palm Beaches Inc?
Description
• Answer all incoming phone calls
• Complete navigation and Family VI-SPDAT assessment for homeless families
• Schedule clearance appointments
• Complete clearance(s) & update clearance log daily
• Provide accurate and timely documentation
• Compile daily schedule of assessments and office visits and ensure timely submission by end of each day
• Communicate schedule and changes with the Lewis Center front desk
Operations
• Assist clients with questions and concerns in a professional manner
Training and Development
• Attend Staff meetings
• Attend required programmatic trainings
• Attend any additional trainings and/or seminars as requested by supervisor
• All other duties as assigned
Requirements
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
• Must be organized, and have the ability to prioritize
• Must have exceptional verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain tact and professionalism when dealing with challenging clients
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to get along well with co-workers and clients of a diverse population
• Reliability and flexibility in work schedule
• Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; (Outlook, Excel and Word)
• Must be able to and willing to travel for trainings, meetings, etc. when needed.
Working Conditions
• Prolonged setting using telephone and computer
• Available to work weekend and early evening hours
Physical Requirements
• Able to bend and lift over your head
• Able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
• Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion tasks on a computer
