Reports To: NC Operations Market Manager
Location: Raleigh, Durham, Charlotte, North Carolina
Salary: $55,000 to $ 60,000 per year
Sign On Bonus: $1000 after 90 days
FLSA Status: Full Time, Exempt
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday

Adopt A Highway Maintenance Corporation® (AHMC) has provided highway clean up and maintenance in partnership with DOT’s and local businesses for over 30 years. The Litter Removal Field Maintenance Supervisor is a key part of a successful litter removal program for the state.
About the Role: The work schedule typically starts around sunrise and concludes in the afternoon. The work week is Monday through Friday, with some weekend work as needed. You will be supervising litter removal with a crew of up to 3 members on the side of roads & highways. We provide work vehicles, equipment, and training to help you succeed in this role. Successful supervisors take control and ownership of their work schedule, are flexible and can adapt to the needs of the market. This role is highly independent, but team orientated and will work directly with the market operations manager to achieve market goals and schedule completion.
Responsibilities:
- Completing daily, weekly, and monthly litter removal schedule
- Sign Installations and Removing litter from roads & highways
- Picking up & dropping off crew members on roads & highways
- Up to 1 week traveling in & out of state according to Market needs
- Communicating and reporting directly to Operations Manager
- Adhering to work and safety processes and procedures
- Leading safety meetings and enforcing AHMC safety policies
- Hiring, training, coaching, and developing dependable successful maintenance crew members
- Reporting crew work hours and payroll information
- Submitting daily paperwork using digital and paper forms
- Plan daily work routes and monitoring and completing daily work schedules
- Driving eight to ten hours per day to complete Sign Installations and litter removal alongside highways
- Locating areas using GPS coordinates, planning daily work routes and monitoring and completing daily work schedules
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
- 2 years supervisory experience including experience hiring, training, coaching and motivating teams
- Working on highways, Technology focused a plus
- Flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of the market
- Solution and result driven, with a “get things done” mentality.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in written format
- Working knowledge of MS Office, Google Maps, smart phones, tablets, and apps
- Previous experience working with ADP, Google Drive and Dropbox preferred
Physical Demand:
- Walk up to 5-10 miles per day depending on schedule
- Drive truck/vans for extended periods of time
- Lift up to 50 lbs. independently
- Using equipment and tools such as ladders and grapplers
