Job Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with the Executive Director, Executive Committee, and Board of Directors Development Committee to create a development plan that increases revenue to support the center's strategic direction.

· Strong willingness to perform prospect research on foundations and corporations to evaluate prospects for corporate and foundation grants.

· Comply with all grant reporting as required by foundation/corporate donors

· Recommend appropriate cultivation and solicitation strategies and timing for donor/prospect visits, debrief and manage follow-up activity.

· Strong capability to perform prospect research for potential donors from public and private sectors and cultivate relationships with the organization's financial partners.

· Build and maintain donor relationships with private and public sectors.

· Communicate with donors and staff via email, phone, or social media.

· Answer donor and staff inquiries in a timely fashion

· Oversee the proper acknowledgment of donations by drafting thank-you letters, greeting cards, memos, newsletters, and reports and making timely touch points.

· Organize and lead all events, working with community partners, vendors, other Center staff, and the Board of Directors to ensure their success.

· Collaborate with the Executive Director to establish fundraising objectives for the organization.

· Assist with other fundraising projects or duties as requested.

· Implement donor cultivation and stewardship events when appropriate.

· Perform other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

· Facilitate bi-monthly strategy meetings with the Development Committee

· Prepare and present quarterly reports on fundraising activities to senior management and the board of directors.

· As grants administrator, collaborate with the Executive Director to write grant proposals and acknowledgments for grants received. Ensuring compliance by the organization with the terms stipulated in the grand award.

· Staying on top of fundraising trends and the nonprofit community.

· Recruit, train, and manage fundraising volunteer leaders.

· Use prospect research tools and your donor database to build donor relationships.

· Collaborate with the Communication Manager to create solicitation materials for the fundraising team and promote events through various platforms.

Preferred skills: Experience with a donor database is preferred. Previous experience with youth service organizations and with socio-economically diverse populations. Preferred skills also include:

· Demonstrated understanding of best practices in fundraising

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and customer relationship management (CRM) software.

· Experience seeking out and cultivating relationships that lead to increased agency funding.

· Previous success in meeting agency fundraising goals through diverse funding streams. Grant writing experience is a plus. However, the candidate should have experience securing individual major gifts (of at least $5,000) and donations/sponsorships via events.

· Experience or willingness to learn about annual giving and planned giving.

· Lead the implementation of donor recognition and stewardship activities.

Our new Development Manager must have a keen eye for detail and a collaborative spirit. Must be flexible, have a positive, can-do attitude, and have a strong desire to work in an industry that focuses on helping others. Collaborate with the Center’s Development Committee and fundraising team to provide strategic opportunities for increased fundraising. Provide friendly, donor-centered customer service and respect the Center’s mission professionally and positively.

Salary : $74,164 - $84,646
