What are the responsibilities and job description for the Federal Account Executive position at Adorama?
The Federal Account Executive is responsible for calling on specific Federal Agencies and Government Contractors focusing on driving new business. The role is responsible for delivering Sales growth based on a Quota consistent with the assigned accounts. The AE will manage all phases of the sales process, from establishing new accounts through the closing of opportunities, as well as assessment of future needs of our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to carry a quota and be held accountable for monthly & yearly sales results of topline growth and profit improvement
- Excellent sales skills, discipline and time management.
- Face to Face meetings and phone calls 100 calls per week/ 10 meetings per week
- Call to generate and develop new customers
- Maintain communication with existing/potential customers to ensure all their needs are being met
- Maintain an active pipeline of 3x quota with a 30% close rate on quoted opportunities
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced sales environment
- Work closely and collaborate with internal departments
- Cross sell existing customers new product categories and expand business within each account
- Explain products to existing/potential customers and assist them in selecting those best suited to their needs
- Work within Salesforce daily to maintain updated records- lead management & aging, conversion, opportunity $, and close rates
- Emphasize product features and benefits, quote prices, and answer customer questions
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in training opportunities
- Review professional publications and establish professional networks to stay current with critical marketplace information
Skills & Experience:
- Multiple years of sales experience within the Federal Government Market is required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Military background preferred
- Healthy network of Federal Government and photography focused clients/knowledge a plus
- Federal Business Development and Capture Strategy
- Knowledgeable of Federal Compliance, Customer Intelligence, Landscape Analysis

The salary rate for this position ranges from $75,000-$100,000. The rate will be determined based on overall skills and experience. This role is also eligible for a commission based on sales and business.
