Overview:
Central Intake Manager
The Central Intake Manager will lead the Central Intake team of coordinators.
Responsibilities:
- Manages Team Leads and Intake Coordinators day to day job responsibilities, assign/delegate tasks, approve Paid Time Off, and Payroll
- Provides reporting to Senior Director weekly on admissions, pending authorizations, eligibility issues, and authorization issues for all Lines of Business
- Ensures Coordinators verify insurance eligibility and authorizations and provide operations with client information
- Communicates with operations when issues arise and ensures Central Eligibility Authorization Team Issue Log is updated
- Manages root cause analysis of issues, records issues on log and works with coordinator who facilitates conversation to obtain approval of issue resolution with operations
- Conducts or assists with special projects as requested by Senior Director
- Ensures processes and training materials are created, documented, and implemented by the Team Leads for the Central Intake department
- Reviews processes and functions for potential improvements, innovations, and increased efficiencies
- Other responsibilities as assigned
- Bachelors degree and/or equivalent work experience of three to four years in a healthcare setting
- High-level organizational skills with an ability to set priorities and use time effectively
- Excellent communication and customer service skills both verbal and written
- Knowledge of government and commercial payer contracts
- Working knowledge of Quickbase, Interactant, Excel, Powerpoint, and state specific revenue systems
- Ability to function well as a member of a team and demonstrate strong leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Up to 50% travel required to operations and billings hubs throughout the United States as assigned
