Responsibilities:
The Home Health Support Assistant, under the direction of the Branch Manager and/or Administrator, assists with the clerical and administrative support components of the home health and private duty operations and patient care processes, which includes responding to incoming calls, managing paper flow, maintenance of patients’ records, processing requests for release of patients’ records, procuring and stocking/dispensing medical and office supplies and equipment, maintenance of lab requests for billing purposes, duplicating and distributing interoffice forms, managing distribution of interoffice correspondence, registering patients into and maintaining the tele-monitor program (if applicable), and performing other duties as directed by the Branch Manager and/or Administrator.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of clerical/office responsibilities
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology, a plus
