Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of various landscaping techniques. This role involves maintaining and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of residential and commercial properties through effective groundskeeping practices. The Landscape Technician will be responsible for executing a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall health and beauty of landscapes.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular lawn care activities, including mowing, edging, and trimming to ensure well-maintained lawns.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment for planting, digging, and maintaining flower beds, shrubs, and trees.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
- Conduct routine inspections of landscaped areas to identify issues such as pests or diseases and take appropriate action.
- Maintain equipment used in landscaping tasks, ensuring it is clean and in good working condition.
- Collaborate with team members to complete landscape projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns regarding their landscapes.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in landscaping or groundskeeping is preferred but not required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for operating landscaping equipment effectively.
- Familiarity with gardening techniques, including planting, pruning, and fertilizing plants.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while performing physical tasks.
- Knowledge of landscape design principles is a plus.
- Must be detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions.
- Valid driver's license may be required based on job responsibilities.
