As the Director of Global Public Affairs, you will work closely with the Global Media Relations and Public Affairs leadership team to develop and implement holistic strategies aimed at protecting and enhancing ADP’s brand while strengthening relationships with key stakeholders globally. In this position, you will spearhead the development and execution of key tactics that support these global strategies.

Job Description
As the Director of Global Public Affairs, you will work closely with the Global Media Relations and Public Affairs leadership team to develop and implement holistic strategies aimed at protecting and enhancing ADP’s brand while strengthening relationships with key stakeholders globally. In this position, you will spearhead the development and execution of key tactics that support these global strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Senior Director to develop and implement holistic communications strategies to bolster organizational reputation globally.
- Proactively identify, assess, and anticipate potential reputational risks by monitoring social, economic, and political trends.
- Monitor and assess stakeholder sentiment, evaluating potential impacts on organizational operations and public perception.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, timely issues, the public pulse on digital/social networks and the current newscycle to help inform leaders and team members of potential risks or areas of opportunity for our brand.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure unified messaging and congruence with organizational objectives and ethos.
- Distill complex issues into clear and concise messaging for a variety of external and internal audiences.
- Lead the development and execution of crisis communication plans and issues management approaches to prepare for and respond to potential threats to reputation. Including drafting of media statements, talking points, FAQs, factsheets, timelines and other communication materials.
- Collaborate with the Global Media Relations team to create and implement content strategies that will help to shape public perception.
- Supervise public affairs team reporting and budget, optimize resource allocation and track key initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations or a related field.
- 10 years of work experience in public affairs, crisis communications, or related roles.
- Experience working with cross-organizational teams to execute complex strategies. Experience working with international teams is preferred.
- Experience in handling crisis communications and issues management and developing effective strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey key messages effectively to multiple audiences and strengthen relationships with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with digital and social media platforms and their use in corporate reputation and public affairs strategies.
- Strong organizational and project management skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to analyze data, research issues, and assess public opinion.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating, as part of a global team.
- Previous experience collaborating with government relations to build public affairs strategies is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of local, national, and international government and legislative landscape is preferred.
