ADP is hiring a Director of Platform Engineering, Cloud Center of Excellence (CCOE)


The Director, Platform Engineering is a senior-level role that will be joining the buildout of organizational-wide Cloud Center of Excellence. This role will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team of experts who will drive hybrid cloud strategy within ADP. Responsible for designing and delivering a holistic platform of incorporated tools that ensure a high degree of enterprise maturity in the cloud. This role will partner with numerous other service organizations to build an ecosystem of developer enablement.


This is an opportunity to be in the driver seat and help ADP launch the next phase of their cloud journey. The CCoE will oversee and govern ADP’s product migrations to align with cloud strategy and architectural blueprints for automation, security and resiliency. You will have the opportunity to assemble a talented team and drive the execution of next generation cloud adoption and best practices.


Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of subject matter experts in application, infrastructure and cloud design.
  • Build capabilities that serve various functional branches of the business including HR, Finance, Legal, and Global Security Office at ADP
  • Define governing frameworks, maturity models, and process-based controls
  • Define and co-implement architectural blueprints for cloud best-practices
  • Consult with product development teams on cloud migration strategy
  • Provide enablement KPIs for senior leadership
  • Build in security and resiliency into all cloud systems
  • Create a consumable knowledge hub that development teams can use
  • Provide return on investment measurement based on business outcomes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • 10 years of overall technical experience in cloud architecture (prior developer experience a big plus)
  • 5 years of experience managing technical teams
  • Strong leadership skills and managing, mentoring, and developing technical teams
  • Experience with and deep understanding of AWS, Azure, RedHat OpenStack, and networking
  • Hands-on experience with AWS
  • Business acumen and hands-on technical experience
