Construction Inspector

ADR & Associates, Ltd. is an employee-owned civil engineering seeking Construction Inspectors for our office located in Newark, Ohio.

In this position, you will monitor construction progress for our public clients. You will be on-site full time reviewing materials and methods of construction for conformance with the Contract. You will act as the Owner's Representative, protecting their interests. You will report directly to ADR's Construction Engineer but will also interact with personnel from both the Owner and Contractor. You will perform the following duties:

• Review and document materials delivered to the site for conformance with the construction plans and approved submittals.
• Observe and document the methods of Construction for conformance with the Contract.
• Keep a log of equipment and workers on site.
• Document events and site visitors.
• Take and upload site photographs, both general and documenting specific construction activities.
• Fill out any forms required by the Project Owner and ensure compliance for future project audits with the assistance and guidance of the Construction Engineer.
• Maintain field documentation in an orderly manner.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret specifications and codes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
• Knowledge of construction practices and materials.
• Strong observation and analytical skills to identify potential issues.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Physical ability to access different areas of a construction site.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $28.75 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
