Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate financial services, with expertise in construction, tax, and compliance. The Financial Accountant will play a key role in managing financial transactions, preparing reports, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Duties
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy of accounts.
- Manage journal entries and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
- Conduct accrual accounting to accurately reflect the company’s financial position.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Collaborate with tax professionals to prepare tax returns and ensure timely submissions.
- Utilize accounting software for efficient financial management.
- Provide support for private equity transactions as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience in corporate finance or financial services.
- Strong knowledge financial analysis.
- Familiarity compliance requirements is preferred.
- Proficiency in Ventus or similar accounting software is a plus.
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliation and journal entries is essential.
- Understanding of accrual accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
