We are currently seeking a Quality / Continuous Improvement Manager.

A successful candidate will be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


Success as a Quality / CI Manager is being able to achieve the following expectations:

  • Work with facility leadership to define and achieve facility goals/metrics
  • Develops, audits, supports, and administers internal processes and develops metrics for quality and CI (Continuous Improvement) with leadership and corporate direction
  • Post, maintain and review performance to plan metrics with the facility
  • Develop and lead corrective action process when metrics are below expectations
  • Liaison with Adrian Steel corporate to identify and resolve issues
  • Lead problem solving in response to quality issues/spills
  • Communicated with suppliers for non-conforming material or delivery expectations
  • Own and maintain RMA process, along with non-conforming material hold areas
  • Communicate quality issues with team and initiate corrective actions as needed
  • Maintain facility training matrix (with Production and General Manger support)
  • Define and lead facility continuous improvement projects (5S, wasted reduction, flow)
  • Identify and capture $200,000 in cost savings annually
  • Monitor and communicate EN/ECN changes to the facility
  • Maintain facility process flows, work instructions and visual aids
  • Verify part masters, jigs, fixtures to the correct levels
  • Maintain ISO-Lite 9001/2015 standards
  • Support training as related to quality and continuous improvement
  • Maintain document in-house tool calibration requirements and documentation

Education/ Experience required for this role:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • A minimum of a Tech 4 skill set
  • Basic computer skills; Microsoft, Excell, Word, PowerPoint, AS400 and Oracle
  • Previous Quality experience preferred
  • Previous Lean / Continuous Improvement experience preferred

Additional Requirements:

  • Must meet and maintain all requirements to be a “Driver” as defined in Adrian Steel Fleet Corporate Driving Policy
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Limited travel will be required for this role
