Our organization is currently seeking a CAD Validation Engineer.
A successful candidate will be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Responsible for model year validation document maintenance and population.
- Responsible for maintaining proper OEM CAD data to support the Design Team.
- Validation of released products, prototype and purchased products utilizing CAD inspection tools and techniques.
- Responsible for identifying vehicle changes that impact or interfere with the customer and Adrian Steel product.
- Lead the product scanning process utilizing products such as Creoform handheld scanner and similar tools.
- Proficient in:
- Dynamic part checks.
- Manufacturing assembly checks.
- Service checks.
- Lead virtual reality CAD reviews and demonstrations.
- Adherence to a standard work schedule
- Ability to problem solve using tools such as 8D, and 5 Why’s.
- Willingness to seek answers and ask questions.
- Ability to meet strict timelines.
- Own all projects and tasks from inception to completion.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Ability to challenge effectively & communicate confidently with all levels of leadership.
- 2 Year Engineering Technology OR Drafting Degree. (Preferred)
- Proficient with common tools used within the engineering industry.
- Working understanding of Microsoft Office.
- Proficient in Solid Works or equivalent operating system. (Demonstration Required)
- Must meet and maintain all requirements to be a “Driver” as defined in Adrian Steel Fleet Corporate Driving Policy
