Our organization is currently seeking an External Quality Manager.

- Interfaces with end customers to ensure quality problems are documented, resolved, and corrective actions are in place
- Audit, develop, and administer key internal processes and develop metrics for continuous improvement
- Communicates key customer quality metrics
- Identify potential risks before they become a problem, focusing on root cause analysis and preventive action
- Perform internal and external quality audits and compile detailed reports of findings
- Lead the team and train them in problem solving activities
- Participate in continuous improvement teams
- Communicates and tracks external KPI Metrics
- Facilitates Monthly external QMS meetings with commercial and ship through locations
- Build a strong team through coaching, mentoring, specific training, and performance evaluations
- Coordinates weekly quality communication calls with key stakeholders and customers to ensure proper follow-up and visibility of customer issues
- Administers the CAR process to ensure follow-up on CARs is taking place and that the actions solve the issues
- Understands and facilitates external FAST responses to resolution
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Support Ford Pro requirements including audits
- Participates in ISO-9001 lite audits internally and externally
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Strong working knowledge of Order Manager
- Ability to effectively communicate with vendors via email whose primary language is not English
- Experience working effectively with a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information to internal customers in a clear, focused, and concise manner
- Capacity to act as a problem solver
- Ability to manage time and people
- Excellent people skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and suppliers
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Flexible with travel requirements
- 3 years' experience in a manager/leadership position
- Proficient in Microsoft applications
- Analytical, quick problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Data entry experience
- Technical computer skills
- Possesses the ability to lead and motivate a team, as well as the ability to facilitate change
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Must meet and maintain all requirements to be a 'Driver' as defined in Adrian Steel Fleet Corporate Driving Policy
- Valid driver's license
