Job Overview
Adriel is currently looking to hire a full-time Foster Care Licensing Specialist for our southern region.
Duties
- Assist in the recruiting of homes in the community into which youth can be placed for foster care.
- Conduct initial certifications, recertifications, amendments and addendums for assigned applicants/foster parents. Complete required documentation and submit them by appropriate timeframes.
- Work with the training department to ensure that assigned foster parents are properly trained and oriented. Assist in training foster parents as requested.
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of licensing regulations, standards, and requirements. In addition, demonstrate understanding and adherence to the Teaching-Family Model.
- Maintain all foster parent files.
- Be an integral member of the entire foster care team. This includes attendance at staff meetings, staff training, sharing on-call rotation, and participation in special events, office coverage, referrals, etc.
- Receive and maintain training in accordance with ODJFS, the Teaching Family Association (TFA) standards, and applicable licensure board.
Skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to maintain objectivity, fairness, and consistency.
- Organized, detail-oriented, personable, proactive, able to work successfully both independently and with a team, flexible, and able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
- Valid driver’s license, transportation, and auto insurance required. Willing to travel on a regular basis, work evenings as needed, work an occasional weekend, and stay overnight on occasion.
- Have knowledge and operational knowledge of required technology.
- Empathy for the goals and practices of a faith based agency serving families and children.
- Have sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of Adriel’s youth.
Education/Experience
This role requires a bachelor’s degree in a human services field and at least one year of experience working with families and children and a license in social work, counseling or marriage and family therapy.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
