What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pickled Fish Bartender position at Adrift Hospitality SPC?
The bartender will be in charge of managing food and drink orders while providing stimulating conversation and excellent customer service.
They must be eager to ensure a great guest experience both in the bar and for room service options. Efficient, observant, personable, and knowledgeable of common drinks. Must have a flexible and agile schedule to be present during peak times and where needed and must maintain a positive work culture that is fun, focused, and professional.
Duties Responsibilities
- Reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.
- Ensure compliance with laws and Company policy.
- Welcoming guests and ensuring they are seated in a timely fashion.
- Ensure that guests are not overserved and that underaged guests are not served alcohol. Back up your team as needed in these interactions and record in a nightly log.
- Keep ticket time under 5 minutes
- Maintain a clean and organized bar and storage.
- Ensure that the Liquor Room is kept in order and in code
- Arrive on property on time and ready for your shifts.
- Is expected to be present during peak periods including but not limited to holidays, Friday nights and Saturday nights.
- Place bar need orders through Front of House Manager

- Update cocktail cards and keep recipe rings up to date
- Assure that opening, shift change and closing checklists are completed
- Prepare or delegate preparation of any special ingredients
- Know hotel processes and procedures
- Deescalate issues as they arise (staff and guests)
- Clearly and appropriately escalate and communicate issues through correct channels.

Qualifications
- Must have 1 year of bartender experience
- Responsible and detail-oriented.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be well organized.
- Flexible and adaptable changes.
- Able to lift and carry items up to 50lbs.
