ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Traveling Technician, you will be responsible for the on-site installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various hardware and software systems within AWM. You will be the face of our technology in the field, ensuring the seamless operation of our cutting-edge systems and providing exceptional support. This position involves a significant amount of travel, often to multiple locations on a single trip.

Responsibilities:

• Installation & Deployment: Install, configure, and test various hardware components, including cameras, sensors, servers, network equipment, and point-of-sale systems. Deploy and update software applications.
• Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime. Diagnose and repair hardware and software malfunctions, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Troubleshooting & Support: Provide on-site technical support to store personnel, resolving issues quickly and efficiently. Proactively identify and address potential problems.
• Networking: Basic network troubleshooting, including connectivity issues, router configuration, and cable management.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Contribute to knowledge base articles and documentation.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with store personnel, regional managers, and other technical teams. Provide regular updates on the status of projects and issues.
• Travel: Travel extensively within a designated region, often overnight and for extended periods. Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the business.
• Safety: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.

***While not deployed on the road, you will be expected to report to our Warehouse in Santa Ana, California to help with the production of Quick Drop Units.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications or associate's degree in a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in field service, IT support, or a related technical role.
• Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
• Experience with installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electronic equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
