Responsibilities:
- Design and develop system architecture:
- Create Big Data integration and BI solution architectures, focusing on data pipelines and process interfaces.
- Design scalable and efficient data warehousing solutions.
- Develop data models to support complex analytical requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies and tools for integration and BI needs.
- Implement and configure BI systems:
- Install and configure Oracle BI Applications using Configuration Manager (BIACM) and Functional Setup Manager (FSM).
- Implement and configure OBIEE for reporting and dashboard development.
- Set up role-based security and dynamic session variables in OBIEE.
- Migrate Analytics RPD and Web Catalog between environments.
- Manage data integration processes:
- Develop custom Informatica mappings and workflows for ETL processes.
- Integrate data from various enterprise systems (e.g., Finance, Siebel CRM, Oracle EBS) into Data Warehouses.
- Work with diverse file formats (Text, JSON, XML, Avro, Parquet) to handle various data types and structures.
- Implement data quality checks and validation mechanisms.
- Develop BI reports and dashboards:
- Create ad-hoc and standard reports/dashboards in OBIEE.
- Implement interactive features like drill-down, pivot tables, and prompts.
- Design and develop semantic models and RPD layers to support analytics.
- Collaborate with business users to understand and meet reporting requirements.
- Optimize system performance:
- Tune Oracle SQL queries to improve query response times.
- Optimize BI server performance for efficient data retrieval and processing.
- Implement caching mechanisms to enhance user experience.
- Monitor and resolve performance bottlenecks in ETL and reporting processes.
- Ensure data security and governance:
- Set up and manage security privileges for subject areas and dashboards.
- Implement role-based access control for users and analysts.
- Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
- Conduct testing and quality assurance:
- Perform unit, regression, and performance testing of BI systems.
- Validate data accuracy and BI system functionality post-implementation.
- Conduct pre- and post-implementation testing to align with business goals.
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases for ETL processes and reports.
- Manage projects and stakeholder relationships:
- Oversee integration and BI projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and refine business requirements.
- Prepare and maintain Design and Technical Specification documents.
- Communicate project progress and results to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide technical support and drive innovation:
- Diagnose and resolve integration issues and data discrepancies.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users on BI tools and integrated systems.
- Stay informed about latest trends in big data integration and BI technologies.
- Propose and implement enhancements to existing processes and solutions.
Minimum Education:
A Master’s degree in computer science and data science, reflecting a strong academic foundation.
