Overview
We are a well established dental practice seeking a new team member. Our dental assistant is moving out of state and we need a friendly, work-oriented assistant to join our practice to starting soon. We are looking for a professional, punctual, hard working, and reliable assistant that can deliver quality care with excellent customer service. We will train you on our dental software if needed. Our current software is Dentrix Ascend and if you have knowledge with this it would be a plus. Thank you so much for considering our job position!
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary tools and materials.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring it is clean and organized.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care.
- Manage patient flow and schedule appointments efficiently.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with dentistry procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for all patients.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments.
Skills
- Proficient in assisting with various dental procedures and treatments.
- Understanding of anatomy as it pertains to dental health.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
