AdTech Ceramics, located in Chattanooga, TN, specializes in custom manufacturing of strong, durable, and precise microelectronic ceramics. There is an immediate opening for a US person in the role of Production Supervisor.
Position Summary: Responsible for coordinating the work and supervising the non-exempt workforce involved in the production of high-quality ceramic products. This position will manage a talented and diverse team spanning multiple departments. The Production Supervisor must organize and direct the production staff to achieve satisfactory workflow. This position will also be responsible for enforcing company policies and procedures. The Production Supervisor will report to the Production Manager.
Essential Functions:
- Assisting in the recruitment and onboarding of new recruits.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures within the facility.
- Manages and develops direct reports through documentation of coaching, performance plans and performance evaluations.
- Organizing, monitoring and prioritizing tasks to meet production goals.
- Manages successful transition of new products through the production areas.
- Knowledge of manufacturing tools, equipment and processes.
- Fosters a positive team environment to communicate production, quality and productivity goals across departments.
- Maintain communication between employees and upper management to ensure procedures and policies are well understood.
- Utilize cross-training programs to maintain a flexible workforce.
- Active participant in meetings related to yields and production areas.
- Identify areas for employee development through training opportunities.
- Possesses the ability to use manufacturing systems and other electronic dashboards for departmental functions.
- Works closely with Production Control to monitor WIP.

Education, Training, and Skill Recommendations/Requirements:
1. Intermediate language skills.
2. Intermediate math skills.
3. High attention to detail.
4. Ability to present reports legibly and accurately.
5. Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
6. Preferred: Associate’s degree in technology, engineering, business administration or related fields. Candidates with certifications in operation management will be considered. Manufacturing experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent may also be considered with relevant manufacturing experience.
