The Territory Account Manager (TAM) will be responsible for planning and executing ADTRAN's overall sales efforts within the Regional Service Provider (RSP) sector, encompassing incumbent local exchange carriers, and other broadband service providers including utilities, municipalities, and wireless service providers (WSPs) with the goal of achieving sales volume and profits consistent with company objectives. The TAM will be responsible for providing effective maintenance of established accounts, serve as the primary contact for customers, while enhancing ADTRAN's position and reputation in the market by providing excellent customer service to all assigned accounts. The TAM will contribute to the company's overall strategy development and provide sales and business-planning expertise to the rest of the RSP team, marketing managers and product management organization.
This position will be remote work from home within the United States.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify, meet with, build, and manage long-term relationships with key strategic partners in the specified RSP territory.
- Manage complex sales situations across the target customer organization and manage technical sales of ADTRAN products across the diverse customer organization
- Oversee market analysis, monitor competitive activity, and identify customer needs within the specified RSP territory
- Formulate and recommend plans, initiatives, goals, and objectives for ADTRAN sales activities to rapidly expand market share and mindshare in the specified RSP territory
- Develop and execute both short and long-range sales plans and programs in conjunction with Senior Management, to ensure the profitability and growth of the company's solutions
- Maintain a current working knowledge of ADTRAN products, current technology, future industry trends, relevant competitive solutions, products, and services
- Other projects and assignments may result and be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the Company
