Location and Hours
This role serves Morgan County and operates primarily within a clinical setting.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday with flexible hours, including occasional evenings.
- Flexibility: 80% of the role involves direct clinical oversight and team supervision; travel may be required for client visits and meetings.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Oversight and Leadership:
- Ensure quality care by providing leadership and supervision to clinical staff, including conducting individual and group supervision, and monitoring service delivery.
- Facilitate weekly clinical case staffing and meetings to ensure the provision of appropriate services and to address any concerns.
- Complete record reviews, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, and address any deficiencies in care.
- Oversee the treatment planning process, ensuring that clients' needs are met, and that transition planning is executed effectively.
- Supervise and support team members in delivering treatment in individual, family, and group settings, adjusting services as necessary.
Team Development and Supervision:
- Provide clinical direction, supervision, and feedback to team members, including timely corrective action and individualized training plans.
- Ensure team members have access to necessary training, orientation, and continuing education.
- Complete performance evaluations, assessing team member strengths and areas for growth, and assist in professional development.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Maintain strong relationships with external agencies to ensure the seamless delivery of comprehensive services.
- Oversee the coordination of client referrals to other service providers when appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with leadership, clients, families, and other stakeholders.
Crisis Intervention and Program Management:
- Respond to crisis situations as needed, ensuring that incidents are reported and addressed according to company policies.
- Assist in managing program budgets and fiscal projections, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
- Participate in quality management processes, contributing to continuous improvement efforts and program evaluation.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation in client files, following agency and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor team members' documentation to ensure completeness and compliance.
- Oversee client records to ensure all required documentation is completed and filed accurately.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of program strategies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director or Leadership team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Comprehensive understanding of clinical best practices, mental health, and substance use disorder treatment techniques.
- Strong knowledge of legal requirements, court procedures, and accreditation standards related to treatment services.
- Skilled in the supervision, training, and development of clinical teams.
- Ability to evaluate and implement corrective actions to improve client care.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Experience and Education Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT), Mental Health Counseling (LMHC), or a related field.
- Fully licensed as LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in behavioral health, including experience in mental health and substance use disorder treatment.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in substance use disorder or mental health treatment services.

Employment Requirements:
- Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect and fingerprint check.
- Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.
- All training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.
- Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.
- First Aid certification within three months of beginning employment and upon renewal date.
- CPR certification within three (3) months of beginning employment and upon renewal date.
- Behavioral Management training completed within thirty (30) days of employment or first available class after start date:
- Annual maintenance of licenses/certifications to perform counseling duties.
- Obtain Driver’s license in state of Residency.
Physical Requirements:
ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (exists up the 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.
Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
