Nurse Supervisor

• Assists the provider with patient exams.

• Gathers patient history/Responsible for documentation

• Sets up and draws any necessary labs and performs any special procedures as requested.

• Provides patient education and counseling as needed.

• Responsible for providing professional nursing care to clinic patients under the supervision of a provider and the clinic manager.

• Obtain medical records from outside providers.

• Provide oversight and support of RN, LPN and Medical Assistants (excluding RN Care Managers)

• Ensures compliance with all quality indicators identified by governing bodies and internally

• Works collaboratively with team members to further the vision and mission of the health care center

• Demonstrates interest in long term and short term goals and objectives of the organization.

• Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Integrated Health Services.

For Integrated Health Services (IHS):

• Provide oversight and support of RN, LPN and Medical Assistants (excluding RN Care Managers)

• Ensures compliance with all quality indicators identified by governing bodies and internally

• Works collaboratively with team members to further the vision and mission of the health care center

• Demonstrates interest in long term and short term goals and objectives of the organization

• Complete supervisee’s performance evaluations, training plans and supervision

• records

• Maintain a climate which attracts, keeps, and motivates a staff of top-quality people

• Interview/hire/train new site personnel and ensure that supervisory staff are equipped

• to participate in the interview and selection process

• Respond to strengths or weaknesses identified through self assessment and external mechanisms that impact the quality of the department’s performance and develop/monitor actions to strengthen the quality of the department

• Coordinate the workflow of department(s) to ensure deadlines are adhered to.

• Facilitate an atmosphere of open communication with the staff through regularly scheduled staff meetings and frequent interaction with key personnel, maintain open communication throughout the organization

• Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Integrated Health Services

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing for Registered Nurses.

• Licensed as a RN in Indiana

• Current licensure by the Indiana State Boards of Nursing.

• Two years of experience as a RN in physician office setting highly desired.

OR

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing for practical Nurses

• Licensed as an LPN in Indiana

• Current licensure by the Indiana State Boards of Nursing.

• Three years of experience as an LPN in a physician office setting highly desired

AND

• BLS certification required, ACLS certification preferred

Applicant must be willing to become licensed in additional states, other than the state currently licensed in. Applicant must be willing and comfortable with providing telehealth services to the individuals we serve.

• Communicate the strategic direction of the organization and encourage participation by all team members.

• Provide leadership and guidance to all aspects of the department.

• Take an active role in monitoring the identification, development, and execution of strategic objectives.

• Involve, as appropriate, all team members to achieve goals.

• Effectively communicate to team members any changes and newsworthy events within the department or company.

• Handle difficult team member situations directly, using appropriate discretion and Human Resource advice to show respect for the individual

• Champion change and effectively manage the implementation of new ideas.

• Reinforces team approach throughout functions; support and solicit input from team members at all levels within the company.

• Must provide evidence that incumbent is free of infectious and contagious disease, such as TB, prior to beginning employment and annually thereafter.

• Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect and fingerprint check.

• Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.

• All training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.

• Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.

For Integrated Health Services (IHS):

• Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record and abuse/neglect.

• Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.

• All training requirements including Relias Learning at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.

• Must provide evidence that incumbent is free of infectious and contagious disease, such as TB, prior to beginning employment and annually thereafter.

• Annual maintenance of licenses, and certifications.

• ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (exists up the 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.

• Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
