About Us:
Adult & Teen Challenge Pacific Northwest is a faith-based ministry that provides long term residential care for people with substance abuse issues across Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Alaska and Hawaii. We currently have 15 residential treatment facilities, 13 outpatient counseling facilities, as well as 8 thrift stores which help to provide both vocational training and funding to our clients. Our goal is to "put hope within reach of every addict" by providing a well-rounded treatment that includes a 12 month stay in our facilities, in-depth recovery curriculum and tools, outpatient counseling services, and multi-level vocational training, coupled with an introduction to Christ and the benefits of living in Faith and Service.
We are currently hiring for our Alaska Women's Campus. This campus is a residential, long term recovery and discipleship program for women suffering from drug and alcohol addiction.
Description:
The Center Director will oversee the operations of the program providing vision and planning for the Center as well as secure the necessary funding needed to operate the program. The Campus Director will be the main contact for the Women's Campus. This position also includes responsibilities related to the Outpatient Counseling Facility and our Wasilla Thrift Store. This position reports to the Executive Director and provides oversight for all operations while working with division leaders in our organization in a matrix style (Division Leader of Life Renewal and Division Leader of Thrift Stores). This position requires a great deal of compassion for recovery through Evangelism; we are looking for someone who truly feels called to serve in our ministry.
Position responsibilities:
- Oversee the program to ensure students are being discipled, staff are trained to provide healthy recovery services and volunteers are recruited to partner in the transformation process.
- Disciple students and staff, confidently able to lead prayers & bible studies, teach religious and non-religious materials, provide spiritual leadership.
- Effectively carry out directives, while also resolving problems independently, makes decisions and provide effective leadership while maintaining consistency and accreditation with Teen Challenge as a whole.
- Engage in teamwork with other directors and other teams to meet shared goals, including outreach events, fundraising events, student sponsorship drives, etc.
- Provide outreach and itineration, encourage people in need to join our program, find donors and support in the community, and conduct humanitarian outreaches.
- Demonstrate proficiency in administrative tasks, able to budget and work with financial constraints, able to assemble and prepare regular reports pertaining to program effectiveness and performance.
- Assign and delegate tasks to others efficiently, providing staff and volunteer training and development within program policies and procedures.
This position is determined to be a ministry staff position by role and function.
General Requirements:
1. Completion of a 2 year Associate of Arts degree with major course work in biblical ministry, public administration, business administration, liberal arts or related field.
2. 2 years of ministry leadership, human services, or office management experience, one year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity of other staff.
3. Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training demonstrating the ability to effectively execute the duties and responsibilities of Center Director.
Special Requirements:
- Currently have or working towards ministerial credentials from an Evangelical organization.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain within 30 days, a valid driver's license in the State of domicile.
