Program Interactions: 

  1. Instructors are expected to attend student orientation and graduation. 2. Instructors are required to respond to program specific email requests within 24 hours. Not including weekends and holidays. 
  2. Instructors are required to read the Weekly-CT Newsletter and be apprised of program procedures and events. 
  3. Instructors are required to participate in Partnership Day. 
  4. Instructors are required to complete PD sessions and WTAE Vector Training. 6. Instructors are required to submit all supply requests through the supply ordering system. 
  5. Instructors are required to sign in and out at the reception desk. 8. Instructors are required to find a sub for their class, in the event of an absence. 9. Instructors are required to maintain student folders. The folders MUST contain the student’s Adult Learning Plan and any additional records. 

10.Instructors are responsible for all record keeping with regards to student grades, attendance, ALPs, skills checklists, evaluations,etc. 

  1. Instructors are responsible for showing up to campus on time and prepared. This includes PPTs and hands-on activities. 
  2. Instructors are required to teach with integrity and veracity. 
  3. Instructors are responsible for their classroom space and maintaining it. 14. Instructors are required to: 

- Submit Remediation Plan to CT Supervisor Week 10 

- Provide CT Supervisor with certification information by Week 11 - Submit inventory of supplies to CT Supervisor Week 13 

- Submit grade sheet to CT Office Week 14 

- Execute Remediation Plan and submit CCE Data Week 15 

- Assist with Externship/Employment Services Weeks 15,16,17 

  1. Instructors are required to identify themselves as CT-Instructors at all times on campus -ID Badges worn at all times. 
  2. Instructors are required to dress appropriately while on the campus.

Student Interactions: 

  1. Prepared lessons: Instructors are expected to have lessons prepared in advance of classroom room instruction. This includes all supplies needed for hands-on learning. 
  2. Attendance: Instructors are responsible for maintaining and monitoring student attendance. Meeting with students who demonstrate attendance issues and referring students to Learning Coaches as needed for 3-STRIKE violations. 
  3. Grades: Instructors are responsible for keeping track of student grades in the WTAE e-grading system. Instructors must also inform students of what the grading policy is for their class at the beginning of the semester. 
  4. Role model: Instructors are required to model appropriate professional conduct for their students. This includes recreational cell phone use in class, dress code, ID badges, and interactions with students and staff. 
  5. Positive and respectful: Instructors are expected to ensure that interactions with all students are appropriate and respectful. 
  6. Classroom management: Instructors are responsible for maintaining a positive learning environment in their classrooms. Any incidents of bullying, drug use or racial/ethnical/social discrimination should be addressed immediately and reported to the CT Supervisor. 
  7. Classroom expectations: Instructors are expected to communicate classroom expectations to students. This includes, but is not limited to, grading, homework, labs, attendance, supplies, communication, etc. 
  8. Remediation: Instructors are required to meet with students to identify struggling students that might need remediation of content/skills and set up a remediation plan. 
  9. Certification: Instructors are expected to provide students with certification resources that will assist them in passing their certification exams. 10.Externship/Employment: Instructors are responsible for assisting students with externship/employment placement by working with the Employment Supervisor.
