TITLE: PART_TIME Math Instructors (Basic, Pre- GED, GED, GED Computer Literacy, and WIN) for Corrections Program
LOCATION: Anderson County Detention Center
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college
Valid South Carolina teaching certificate
Knowledge in College and Career Ready Standards and Documented successful teaching experience with adults preferred
Proficiency in the use of technology
REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Non-Traditional Programs
JOB GOAL: To teach adult students the content and skills necessary to successful in obtaining their High School Diploma, GED, CRC credential, and employment in a correctional facility.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans and provides daily instruction that meets the individual needs, interests, abilities, and developmental levels of assigned students.
- Provides content for learners that is appropriate for the unit objectives, for students' ability and developmental levels, and maintains a pace appropriate for all students.
- Provides instruction in WIN and College and Career Ready standards.
- Requests post-testing when students have achieved their required instructional hours.
- Participates in professional development programs and Adult Education Training.
- Performs other duties as directed.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Evenings: up to 8 hours per week; $40/hour; classes are held Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 7pm-9pm at the Anderson County Detention Center.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the Executive Director of Non-Traditional Programs.
