What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adult Education: Director of Nursing Education (Faculty) position at Adult Education?
The Medina County Career Center is currently seeking an Assistant Director of Adult Education Director of Nursing Education (Faculty). To provide leadership, direction, support, and supervision for the Adult Workforce Education healthcare programs and services. Ensures that all educational programs are fully and appropriately implemented and that district-wide goals are achieved. Will develop and implement a Practical Nursing Program in accordance with Section 4723-5-09 of the Ohio Administrative Code, along with other in-demand allied health opportunities. Attend school and community functions as assigned. Develop performance goals and strategies to accomplish approved objectives within specified timelines.

SALARY: Appropriate placement on the Salary Schedule, which will be commensurate with experience and education.
REPORTS TO: Director of Adult Education or Designee

WORK-WEEK/YEAR: 40 hours a week ~ 260 days per year ~ Flexible Day/Evening Hours
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Completion of an approved registered nursing education program in a jurisdiction as defined in paragraph (S) of rule 4723-5-01 of the Administrative Code; at least five years of experience in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse, two of which have been as a faculty member of a registered or practical nursing education program; a master’s degree; if the individual does not possess a bachelor of science in nursing degree, the master’s or other academic degree, including, but not limited to a Ph.D., shall be in nursing; If the individual possesses a bachelor of science in nursing degree, the master’s degree may be, but is not required to be, in nursing; and current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio. Eligible for Ohio Department of Education Professional License or Adult Education Permit. Ability to develop and implement the Practical Nursing program in accordance with Section 4723-5-09 of the Ohio Administrative Code. Professionally manage adult education allied health and nursing programs. Supervise healthcare programs, including selecting instructional materials, coordinating student clinical experiences, and interpreting program policies. Consistently provide customer service and implement new customer service strategies while interacting courteously. Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications and Google Suite of office tools. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Able to handle multiple projects at one time and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to problem solve. Professional tact, diplomacy, and presentation with staff and stakeholders with the ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships. Maintains strict confidentiality of privileged information.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree or higher. Possess both teaching and private sector employment experiences. Prior Career Technical Education experience. Knowledge of post-secondary programming.
