Job Title: Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist
We are a dermatology office seeking a friendly and enthusiastic team player to serve as an assistant where needed, either in the front office as a receptionist or the back office as a medical assistant. We have a young and energetic staff and would love to see applicants with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate for this job will have a firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and strong organizational skills.
Our practitioner has 20 years of dermatology experience and a well-established clientele. Members of the staff have worked with this practitioner for over 8 years. We have a new office location where we see patients Monday through Thursday from 8am to 4:30pm. Our primary focus is on our patients and their experience while conducting business with our office.
Applicants for consideration will have a strong work ethic with impeccable dependability and professionalism. This person will be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and work efficiently and independently. Computer skills are also required to schedule appointments and maintain patient records. The ability to problem-solve and work as a team player is also a key component of this position.
Requirements: High School Diploma / GED with preference given to applicants with certification / experience with medical assisting/billing, basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office and experience with Electronic Health Records a plus.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide patient support
- Administrative and clinical tasks
- Maintain patient records
- Prepare patients and rooms for examination
- Assist practitioner with exams / procedures
- Front desk tasks
- Receive and direct phone calls, schedule appointments, check-in patients, obtain patient information and enter into electronic records
- Ensure all forms and consents are accurately completed
- Check-out patients and take payments
- Assist with referral processing and arrange laboratory services
- Assist with billing/collecting process
- Prepare/Clean equipment, exam rooms & instruments
- Manage inventory of medical supplies
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
