Propulsion Integration Engineer - High Speed Missiles

Anduril is seeking an air-breathing propulsion expert to lead propulsion system integration efforts for high-speed weapon systems

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Critical member of team for selection and integration of propulsion systems on high-speed missiles
• Design, fabricate, and test prototype components and control systems
• Plan, instrument, and execute tests of high-speed propulsion systems
• Coordinate with propulsion system vendors, develop strategic partnerships, and manage development projects
• Support critical hardware demonstrations with customers as needed
• Critical member of team supporting CAD design for internal aerodynamic loft, surfaces and structures
• Travel to test sites as needed

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The successful applicant will be knowledgeable in high-speed air-breathing propulsion technologies, including:

• Knowledge of ramjet, scramjet, rotating detonation engine and other propulsion technologies for high-speed air vehicles, particularly missiles
• Knowledge of inlet design for performance, operability and survivability related to highly maneuverable and cruise missiles
• Knowledge of techniques used to evaluate supersonic propulsion concept performance and operability, including cycle analysis, operability envelopes, and inlet/combustor component analysis and test data assessment.
• Ability to interface effectively with external propulsion system partners and internal concept development leads
• Knowledge of fuel delivery systems for high-speed propulsion systems
• Knowledge of high-temperature materials used in high-speed propulsion systems, including fabrication techniques
• Understanding of propulsion system integration for high-speed systems, particularly missiles
• Experience designing, developing, wind tunnel / freejet testing and flight testing air-breathing high-speed air vehicles, particularly missiles
• Must possess and be able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in NX/Teamcenter
• Hands-on experience with jet engine testing including test practices, instrumentation, and data processing
• Knowledge and experience working with Engine Management Systems (EMS), OEM or motorsport
• Experience procuring parts and working in a machine shop. Working knowledge of machine safety and shop safety protocols
• Active U.S. Secret security clearance

US Salary Range

$120,000-$213,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
