Position Title: Analyst Control Tower (II-IV)
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for providing daily visibility to the inbound and outbound projected, planned and actual volumes throughout our distribution network, in support of Supply Chain consistency and reliability, as well as providing needed reporting in support of S&OP processes.
There are multiple levels for this Analyst role:
Analyst II supports Supply Chain reporting in an assigned region and performs all principle duties described herein.
Analyst III supports Supply Chain reporting in an assigned region and performs all principle duties described herein. Additionally, this role may be assigned to a region where there are degrees of difference in the needs or challenges for that region. This position would support training within Supply Chain Control Tower or other additional projects as needed.
Analyst IV is responsible for managing the data integral to the functionality of the Supply Chain Control Tower. This work would include coordinating between IT, Supply Chain Analytics, and other critical teams to ensure data sources are identified and maintained and solutions are developed. Analyst IV is responsible for managing the data integral to the functionality of the Supply Chain Control Tower. This work would include coordinating between IT, Supply Chain Analytics, and other critical teams to ensure data sources are identified and maintained and solutions are developed. This position has additional Control Tower duties as follows:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the Control Tower interface.
- Develop, monitor and report KPI scorecards across different geographies and operations working through the supply chain leads at each geography or function.
- Create reporting that supports the Control Tower Lead’s view of the network wide Supply Chain health and performance.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert within the Control Tower team for reporting systems and provide training for other Control Tower Analysts.
- Provide the analytics and reporting to define opportunities and support Supply Chain consistency and reliability efforts and S&OP processes. This position will aggregate data from several sources to create reports and analyses that accurately model business processes within Supply Chain operations and S&OP
- Examples include inbound cases & pallets, outbound cases & pallets, DC to store fill rate, OSA, in bound on-time %, out bound on-time %, DC/Trans capacity (both operational and theoretical)
- Develop reporting that highlights where initiatives are performing relative to targets and suggest opportunities for improvement based on analysis.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement and create alerts for key SC stake holders to future capacity constraints and/or bottlenecks.
- Support the connectivity cadence and reporting for Supply Chain operations, inclusive of Demand Management, DC Operations, and Logistics
- Performance Monitoring: Incorporate observations of performance monitoring into reports for management
- Develop, monitor and report KPI scorecards across different geographies and operations working through the supply chain leads at each geography or function.
- Department Support:
- Aid in the identification and development of business rules and standard operating procedures to streamline operating processes.
- Develop reports and run ad hoc queries. Develop and maintain cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models.
- Organizational context: Provides support to Control Tower Managers.
- Framework & guidelines: : Provides analysis for evaluation of current operations, various strategic projects, and provides data in executive summaries to allow leadership to make effective decisions.
- Financial dimension Reviews and scorecards various financial documents/data to provide analysis on cost and service improvements in support of the overall supply chain financial objectives.
- Degree of latitude: Works on projects and analysis directed by management, but has latitude on how to analyze/present the data.
- Interactions and relationships. Interacts with various management/supervision staff within supply chain including DC staff, Finance, Logistics and Demand. Interactions may be driven and directed by Control Tower management.
Analyst III
