What are the responsibilities and job description for the FT Sanitation Associate position at ADUSA Distribution?
Position Summary
Maintain all sanitation standards established by the campus.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions)
Pick up debris, empty trash cans, remove spills in a prompt manner, dust racks, doors, lights, etc.
Sweep and mop slots, clean restrooms, break-rooms and offices in assigned areas.
Clean sanitation equipment, which includes sanitation boxes and mops
Record all damaged product on a damage control sheet.
Sweep and scrub floors, as well as outside areas to help ensure the safety, proper sanitation and efficiency
of the distribution center
Maintain equipment daily; topping off fluids, cleaning out brushes and washing equipment
Record and report all damaged product properly
Follow good sanitation practices; keep work area clean and free of debris
Report equipment and pallet jack problems to maintenance
Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group
or distribution center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs
Ensure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity.
Understanding of Food Safety handling techniques, practices and expectations for the work environment.
Skills
Excellent customer service, communication, verbal and written skills
Abilities
Reach, stoop, bend and lift up to and including 60 lbs.
Stand for long periods of time
Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered
industrial trucks)
Meet production standards set by the company
Read and understand written and numeric product identifiers
Must be able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties
Proficient use of computer for data entry and research purposes
Highly motivated, self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize
multiple task in a fast-paced environment
Education
High School Education
Certified on a powered industrial equipment where applicable
Experience
Familiarity / experience in a distribution environment
