Position Summary : Fleet Trailer Mechanic
Responsible for all major repairs, which include electrical, structural, suspension, breaks and accident damage within the transportation truck shop. Perform all maintenance tasks that ensure a functional and operational transportation fleet.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, exterior / interior repair, suspension, brake and electrical issues or defects.
- Perform all repairs and maintenance on refrigeration equipment. (If Applicable)
- Perform welding functions as needed
- Strive to find more efficient ways to complete jobs and seek to reduce costs by improving labor productivity.
- Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group or distribution center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs
