The Parts Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the parts department within an automotive dealership or repair facility. This position is responsible for managing inventory, procurement, and supply chain processes to ensure that all necessary parts are available for service operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in demand planning, inventory management, and warehouse management, with a focus on optimizing efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Manage the procurement of parts and supplies to meet operational demands.
- Oversee inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess.
- Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and ensure timely delivery of OEM and aftermarket parts.
- Implement effective demand planning strategies to forecast parts needs based on service department requirements.
- Monitor warehouse management processes to ensure accurate tracking and organization of parts inventory.
- Collaborate with the service team to understand their needs and provide timely support for auto body repair tasks.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and manufacturers to stay updated on new products and industry trends.
- Analyze sales data and inventory turnover rates to make informed purchasing decisions.
Experience
- Proven experience in a parts management role within a dealership or automotive service environment is preferred.
- Strong background in supply chain management, including procurement management and demand planning.
- Familiarity with auto body repair processes is advantageous.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful vendor interactions.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and warehouse operations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
