The ideal candidate will work closely with customers to understand their requirements and translate them into innovative design solutions. This role will involve using CAD software, performing engineering calculations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet functional, aesthetic, and manufacturability criteria.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage with customers to gather and understand design requirements, objectives, and specifications for parts and assemblies
- Create detailed designs and technical drawings for mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software
- Interpretation of technical design details
- Use tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to measure lengths, widths, heights, and diameters of parts to ensure they meet design specifications
- Measurement and analysis of sample parts and machinery
- Collaboration with customers, vendors, and other team members
